MILAN – On Holocaust Memorial Day, the ‘Scala of football’ also became a
place of remembrance for Inter and the City of Milan, in order not to forget
Arpad Weisz and what his life and story meant. "And what they still mean,"
stated Milly Moratti upon viewing the plaque dedicated to the Ambrosiana coach
who died along with his family in Auschwitz. "Inter thanks you for having
had this opportunity not to forget. It’s not an accident that our team was
called Internazionale [International] and then became Ambrosiana in difficult
years, while retaining this character in its DNA; a sense of integration that
we continue to affirm today, and we want to continue serving this."

- Luca
Banti from the Livorno section will officiate Lecce v Inter, as the
second half of the Serie A 2011/12 season gets underway. The match
is scheduled for Sunday 29 January at the Stadio Via del Mare in
Lecce (kick-off: 15:00).
This
will be the second time Banti
has refereed the Nerazzurri this season after Genoa v Inter on 13
December. He will be assisted by Petrella and De Luca, while Damato
will be the fourth official.

Tomorrow, Saturday 28 January 2012, the eve of Lecce v Inter, the
first match in the second half of Serie A 2011/12, scheduled for
Sunday 29 January 2012 at the Stadio Via del Mare in Lecce (kick-off
15:00), Claudio Ranieri will
meet journalists in the press room of the Centro
Sportivo Angelo Moratti at 13:00.
The
press conference will be broadcast live, exclusively on Inter Channel
(channel 232 on Sky Sport Italia) and will be streamed live in
inter.it
Journalists
and radio-TV crew (but not photographers) will be admitted to the
Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti from 12:45.
