MILAN - Massimo Moratti announced this evening that a deal has been done with Spanish coach Rafa Benitez.
"We have reached an agreement and we have sorted out the final details, which weren’t important things. All that is needed now is a countersignature," the Inter president told journalists outside the Saras offices in Milan’s city centre.
"Benitez is not in Italy. Tomorrow we will tell you when he will be presented."

MILAN – Massimo Moratti spoke about the ongoing negotiations with Rafa Benitez in a brief interview with journalists outside the Saras offices on Monday evening.
He said: "There are no obstacles. Talks are proceeding as normal. I think we are close to concluding and yes, I think there will be an official announcement tomorrow.
"All the numbers I have read about (in the press) are wrong. We have decided to bet on Benitez because we believe he is the most useful person to keep Inter at the same level.
"We have talked about his collaborators but we haven’t talked about transfers yet."

MILAN – Speaking on the sidelines of a conference organised by Borsa Italiana, Pirelli president Marco Tronchetti Provera commented on the possible arrival at Inter of ex-Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez.
"He is a great coach," said Tronchetti Provera. "I don’t think much will change in Inter’s structure of play. It is a decision in the sign of continuity.
"He will find an Inter that is already strong and he will follow in the footsteps of Mourinho, but obviously with his own characteristics.
"Also, he has great experience in the Champions League."
