TRABZON - "We’ve got qualification sorted out now, after making up for our opening defeat against Trabzonspor." Dejan Stankovic analysed the Nerazzurri’s path in this season’s Champions League as he spoke to Inter Channel: "It was a tense game tonight, tough and against a difficult and motivated side. We were well set out on the pitch and we were unlucky on a couple of occasions then lucky when they hit the post. Now we can focus on the league. We have to roll up our sleeves and make up positions in the table to get Inter back up near the top where we deserve to be. Always."

TRABZON – "Alvarez had a very good game tonight," according to Diego Milito, who set up his young fellow-countryman’s goal against Trabzonspor. "As time goes on he’ll show what a great player he is. He’s young and he just needs time to settle in.
"We are all very happy we managed to reach our two main objectives: firstly qualifying and then finishing top of the group," said Milito. "Now we’ll start making up ground in the league and that will take hard work and concentration."

TRABZON – "We mustn’t forget that by losing to Trabzonspor in the first match we started the campaign on zero points… We started off with a handicap and finished on top." Claudio Ranieri can finally afford to smile after the draw in Turkey. And so he should, as Inter went through to the knock-out stages, finishing top of their group: "I’m pleased. The lads played well and put in a great effort to win the match."
