MADRID - The president of F.C. Internazionale Milano, Massimo Moratti, and the president of Atlético de Madrid, Enrique Cerezo will pick up the Tiepolo Prize on Monday 29 November. The 2010 Tiepolo Prize, awarded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Madrid and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Spain, is now the 15th edition.
The jury, made up of journalists from the Spanish media and Italian reporters based in Spain, has paid tribute to the achievements of the two teams last year, which helped increase the profile of Spain and Italy around the world. Both clubs, which have given an exemplary demonstration of perseverance, commitment and optimism, are run by successful businessman able to combine commercial and sports activities: Massimo Moratti, CEO of Saras S.p.A, a leading Italian oil-refining company, and Enrique Cerezo, one of the biggest Spanish director-producers and president of EGEDA.
The Tiepolo Prize will be awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Spain at the Italian embassy. The president of the Comunidad de Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre, and the mayor of the capital city, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, will hand over the awards.
The following people will also be involved in the ceremony: the president of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and president of CEIM, Arturo Fernández; the president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Spain, Marco Silvio Pizzi; the Italian ambassador in Spain, Leonardo Visconti di Modrone, and the journalist Josto Maffeo, who will be representing the jury.
